Situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, the ´Queen of the Scottish Lochs´, the Inversnaid Hotel overlooks its own harbour and jetty. With stunning views over the loch from the dining room and ballroom, the hotel is nestled in the heart of the most beautiful and popular part of Scotland. The hotel launch is regularly used to ferry guests across Loch Lomond to and from the hotel and is also reachable by road from Aberfoyle. The Inversnaid Hotel is truly worth visiting. In the 65 acres of the hotel´s wooded grounds lies Rob Roy´s Cave and the dramaticArklet Falls. Also close by is the historic Inversnaid Garrison ruins, mentioned by Sir Walter Scott in his Rob Roy novel. To the north, is an extensive bird reserve through which a steep, but pleasant circular path meanders, offering wonderful views down Loch Lomond from its highest point. The West Highland Way, Scotland´s long distance walk, also passes by the hotel. |
