First Day

Arrive at the Loch Tummel Hotel in time for dinner and your first night of country music and dancing.

Blair Atholl & entry into Blair Castle

Surrounded by glens, hills and forests, all linked together by the River Garry, Blair Atholl offers beautiful scenery, rural tranquility and a magnificent castle. Discover Blair Castle’s 700 year history through the fascinating past of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl. Dating back to 1269, the castle has been central to much of Scottish history. From Mary Queen of Scots to the Civil War, and from Jacobite rebellions to the disaster of Culloden following Bonnie Prince Charlie’s own stay at the castle. Discover how Queen Victoria’s stay led to the creation of Europe’s only private army, the Atholl Highlanders, and the transformation of this unique castle from a strategic stronghold to a Baronial Victorian home. Return to the Loch Tummel Hotel for another evening of live music and country dancing.

Perth

Sitting on the banks of the River Tay, Perth is the cosmopolitan centre and bustling city of rural Perthshire offering a range of entertainment, shops, cafes and restaurants. Perth was the former capital city of Scotland which was recently made a city again by the Queen in 2012 as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations. With a rich history as the Scottish capital Perth is an extremely interesting place to visit. Return to the Loch Tummel Hotel for another evening of live music and country dancing.

St Andrews - the home of golf!

This famous town is known worldwide as ‘The Home of Golf’ and is also home to Scotland’s oldest university. There is plenty to see and do in St Andrews from wandering the medieval centre with its cobbled streets and narrow alleyways, to exploring the castle and ruined cathedral. The charm of the town continues down to the shore where there are two long sandy beaches which look out to the North Sea. Return to the Loch Tummel Hotel for another evening of live music and country dancing.
