Christmas Eve - A trip to Glasgow followed by a festive pantomime

Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city and is famed for its vibrancy and the friendliness of its people. The city is constantly developing and has an energetic atmosphere with plenty and shops to do any last minute shopping! Glasgow’s industrial roots as the ‘Second City of the Empire’ have given the city its character and Glasgow now offers fabulous museums, art galleries and architecture. The city has countless impressive Victorian structures, including the Pavillion Theatre where a festive pantomime will be held before returning to your hotel for dinner and entertainment.

Christmas Day - A day of festivities & fun

Enjoy Christmas day in Scotland with a stroll through the hotel grounds and a walk along the lochside, or simply relax by the open fires. The hotel team will host their annual sherry party before serving a traditional Christmas dinner, followed by entertainment in the evening.

Boxing Day - A visit to the Trossachs

'The Highlands in miniature' - this area is one of the most romantic in Scotland, with wild little glens, tranquil Lochs, miles of forest and rolling hills. The Trossachs have been immortalised by Sir Walter Scott who published the first ever international best seller, 'The Lady of the Lake', in 1810. This romantic narrative has encouraged many famous visitors to the area, including Queen Victoria on her frequent tours of Scotland, and was inspiration for both Wordsworth and Coleridge. After meandering through the area, the trip will continue to our Loch Achray Hotel in the heart of the Trossachs for lunch. Return to your hotel for evening dinner and a farewell party to round off your Christmas in Scotland.
