Entry into the Edinburgh Military Tattoo

Staged as part of the world famous Edinburgh Fringe-Festival, the Tattoo is a unique experience that showcases music, dance and military pageantry from all over the world. Set at Edinburgh Castle this dramatic performance includes 1,000 musicians, pipers, drummers, singers and dancers who perform on the esplanade. Military bands play old Scottish battle tunes and tell the story of Scotland’s past through their music. Blended with Scottish tradition are some of the best overseas performers who bring colourful and diverse displays of their own culture to make this evening a truly memorable experience! Please note that there is a walk to the castle and steps up to stand-seating. Contact the bookings office for any mobility queries.

Cruise Loch Katrine & The Trossachs

After a late start we drive to Trossachs Pier for an afternoon cruise on Loch Katrine. A cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the romantic landscapes and timeless beauty of the Trossachs. The Sir Walter Scott is a historic ship and has been cruising on these waters since 1900. Named after the author Sir Walter Scott, who played a huge part in romanticising Loch Katrine in his poem Lady of the Lake. Continue via Lochearnhead and Killin to Inveruglas in time for an evening ferry to Inversnaid.

Ride on the Falkirk Wheel - the world's only rotating boat lift!

Visit the world’s only rotating boat lift, designed to connect the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal in central Scotland. The Falkirk Wheel is a magnificent triumph in Scottish engineering and has already been recognized as an iconic landmark. Designed to replace a series of 19th century lock-gates the Falkirk Wheel is the showpiece of the Millennium Link project to re-establish coast-to-coast navigation of the canals for the first time in 40 years.
